SMC-Patina 3000
Sheet size 3000mm x 600mm. Since copper was first discovered around 6,000 BC it has been in widespread use, with close ties to the human civilization in all areas of the world. It has also been forever appealing and practical in modern buildings and modern architecture. Due to the advanced technological process used, Samsung Metal has been able to produce the oxidized copper patina to have the aged appearance of the long 40 year aging process of conventional copper. This process produces a unique and flexible material for construction and architectural applications.

Samsung Metal's brown coppers come in a light and a dark color, creating two different distinctive appearances. The dark brown copper is sometimes considered bronze in appearance. These two wonderful products have been produced With a special chemical treatment of M20 onto the natural coppers and a natural organic clear coating.
Met-Seam Ltd ZinFlex
We are the sole distributors in the UK and Ireland of ZinFlex.
ZinFlex is a Soft Zinc which can be used as a real alternative to lead. It can be fixed using Hall Clips and pointed with sealant or mortar.
Zinflex has a bright shinny surface but will tone down after a couple of weeks and will form its own protective patina coating over time. It comes in coils 1.10m wide x 0.6mm or 0.7mm thick and we can split the width into any multiple of 1.10m wide.
It is pliable enough to be dressed over tile profiles and be used for flashings and soakers.
ZinFlex weighs only 5kg per m² compared to 20kg per m² for code 4 lead, which makes it more user friendly, easier to transport, easier to handle and has less structural pressures.
ZinFlex is environmentally-friendly in its extraction and production and it is also 100% recyclable.
ZinFlex can be used in all applications traditionally associated with lead; including canopies, dormer windows, bay windows, gutters etc. but it cannot be laid flat, ZinFlex must have a minimum fall of 3 degrees.
ZinFlex conforms to BSEN: 1179 : 95 Z1
ZinFlex can be easily cut and shaped with a pair of snips and formed with the usual plumber’s or roofing contractor’s tools, by hand or by machine. It can be welted and is easy to solder with Tinman's solder.
ZinFlex has no run-off staining and therefore unlike lead does not require an application of patination oil.
